Bex learned how to create art before she learned to sign. Her frustrations with the lack of communication at home led her hand to the paintbrush. Today, her artwork reveals rawness. If her paintings can invoke a reaction from the viewer—whether it is aversion or fondness—then she has done her job. Her creations aren’t about who she is, it’s about what she’s saying. Bex began her exhibiting her art in 2004. Today, she lives in Bay Area and works as a painter and cartoonist.
